Fundraising Overview

Throughout the year, the Booster Club sponsors various events that help raise money for the band and dolls.  Below is an overview of our biggest events and ways you can participate.

Ongoing Events

Spirit Nights

Throughout the school year, we will have local fundraiser nights. On these evenings, the Booster Club will get a percentage of all sales at that restaurant/store. You must present the designated flyer or tell the cashier/server that you are supporting the Dulles Viking Band. This is an easy way for us to earn money for the Band program. Spirit Nights will be publicized via email and social media as they occur.

Halftime Kickoff (August)

Halftime Kickoff (HTKO) is one of the largest fundraisers of the year benefitting our Band program. The event kicks off the new school year and introduces us to a portion of the upcoming halftime show. HTKO features performances by the Band and Dolls as well as a silent auction, live auction, and pre-purchased BBQ meal hosted by the Booster Club.

Poinsettia Fundraiser (October/November)

This is a great way to spread holiday cheer and raise funds for our Band and Doll students. Each student is asked to sell a minimum of five poinsettia plants. Once the poinsettias arrive, students are responsible for delivering them to the buyers. This fundraiser helps us keep band fees down.

Enchanted Gardens Fundraiser (February/March)

What a great way to spruce up your yard in the Spring and help raise funds for our Band students! Each student will be responsible for selling five gift cards – which can be used at either nursery location – or choose the $40 buyout.

99 Pledges (January/February)

99 Pledges is our largest fundraiser of the year. It allows our Band members to raise money from friends near and far. We use this amazing company because they let us keep the money; we are only charged 30 cents and the 2.9% credit card fee per transaction. More information about 99 Pledges can be found on their website.
