The Dulles High School’s Jazz band is known as The Viking Vanguard. This elite group of student musicians is conducted by Mr. Clayton.
The Vanguard has garnered a reputation as an exciting and prestigious music group that performs throughout Fort Bend and Sugarland.
The Viking Vanguard meets daily as a class during first period. Students interested in the Viking Vanguard should email Mr. Clayton at spencer.clayton@fortbendisd.gov
The Vanguard features saxophones, clarinet, trumpets, trombones, guitar, bass, piano, and drumset. Brass and woodwind players must be enrolled in a general band class to be considered for the Viking Vanguard.
